About Us
Hi, I'm Brook, the owner and operator of Maui & Kona Design Co. I've always been into creative stuff. Even used my art scholarships to help pay for my math teaching degree. But balloons? They were a happy accident. A friend asked me to make a balloon garland one day, and I was hooked. I dove in, took some classes, went to conventions, and even got my Balloon Artist Certification.
Now, through Maui and Kona Design Co., I get to use my love for art and learning to bring a little extra joy to special moments. There's nothing like seeing the excitement balloons bring to the table, and I'm just thrilled to be a part of it. I live in East Hanover, New Jersey with my husband, two daughters, our Lab Maui and our Pug Kona.
Our Environmental Commitment
At Maui & Kona Design Co., we believe you can throw a great party without harming the planet. That’s why we focus on eco-friendly balloon décor, using 100% natural latex balloons from renewable rubber trees and partnering with TerraCycle to recycle them after your event. We also repurpose foil balloons into weights, fillers, or centerpiece covers to reduce waste. When you celebrate with us, you’re choosing décor that’s fun, thoughtful, and better for the environment.
